About
Us:
Build in
the late 40's in a distinctive art deco style,
Muneroy, at Southend, was originally opened as a
tearoom and indeed the original fireplace and
domed ceilings can still be seen today.
Owned
and run by Ian and Frances Hill the tearoom has
been open for the last 13 years and has firmly
established itself as a great place to eat.
Whilst
Ian concentrates mainly on the Muneroy store
next door, Frances busies herself in the
kitchen, producing mouth-watering home baking
and delicious home cooked meals.
Families
are made especially welcome with a couple of
high chairs on stand by for younger diners, as
well as a huge basket of toys to keep everyone
amused.
There is
excellent disabled access, so wheelchair users
will have no problems. As Muneroy has a table
licence you can enjoy some fine wine or bottled
beer etc with your meal. Frances also caters for
larger gatherings such as christenings, or
birthday parties and weddings, either in the
tearoom or at your own venue, she will even bake
and fill your tins to order.
Muneroy
tearoom has a really special atmosphere and
Frances and Ian and staff will give you a great
welcome.
