Kintyre Songwriter's Festival - Friday 29th and Saturday 30th May 2009

The dates for this year's festival have been finalised, and the second Songwriters Festival will kick off on Friday the 29th of May and end with a no-doubt fantastic finale on Saturday 30th May 2009.  If last year's festival is anything to go by, then this year's festival will be an absolute cracker!  Please use this website to find more information about the Festival itself, as well as how to get to Campbeltown. Vatersay Boys "Back at the Vic" - Friday 5th June 2009

The Vatersay Boys return to the Victoria Hall in Campbeltown following their sell out gig in 2008.  Five piece band playing traditional music with passion.  Two boxes, bass guitar, drums and pipes.  A night not to be missed!

Gigha Music Festival - Friday 26th to Tuesday 30th June 2009

The Gigha Music Festival has moved to June this year and promises to be just as good if not better than previous years.

Tarbert Seafood Festival - Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2009

The Tarbert Seafood Festival, set around Tarbert's natural harbour at the tip of Kintyre, is one of the area's main annual events held on the first full weekend in JulyThis is definitely something to celebrate and promote. Mull of Kintyre Pipe Band Championships -

The Mull of Kintyre Pipe Band Championships will be held at Kinloch Green in Campbeltown on 2nd May 2009. The event is part of Argyll’s Homecoming Scotland 2009 programme.

Kintyre Way Relay and Ceilidh (Tayinloan) - Saturday 2nd May 2009

Glengyle Distillery Open Day - Thursday 21st May 2009

Join us for the launch of Kilkerran 'Work In Progress' Single Malt Whisky and an exclusive insight into Mitchell's Glengyle Distillery. Originally opened in 1872, the distillery closed in 1925 but spirit began flowing from the stills again in 2004. Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series 2009, Tarbert - 22nd to 25th May 2009

Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon and 10k - Sunday 24th May 2009
