Points Sands Holiday Park

Point Sands Holiday Park sits on one of Kintyre's longest and unspoilt beaches, nestling amongst scattered natural woodland and well off the main road.  Holiday homes for hire and a campsite & touring park with stunning views of the islands. Equal distance from Tarbert and Campbeltown, we are perfectly placed for exploring Kintyre and access to Island Hopping Ferries.

Accommodation and Touring Park

Point Sands Camping & Touring Park is open from  April 1st to October 31st each year.  

The Touring Park is situated on the edge of the sandy beach. Surrounded by woodland and pine forests, the wildlife is all around, ducks in the park, deer in the woods, otters, seals and dolphins plus an amazing array of birds!  

There are 50 pitches, 40 with hook up, set on a designated area with a children’s play park. Hot showers (£1), Laundry Room, Toilet Block and Plate Wash area can all be found in the Touring Park and are in close proximity to the Point Sands Park Shop.   Campfires are permitted.

The shop is open daily and is well stocked with fresh and frozen supplies.

New for 2011 – The Cara Café – on-site snack bar providing all day breakfasts, fresh fish and chips, the Kintyre Burger and local seafood – www.caracafe.co.uk

Overview of the Holiday Park

Point Sands is a wonderful family park on the Kintyre Peninsular, well off the main road for peace, quiet and safety. Set in the most amazing location with unbeatable sunsets and views of the islands.  Only 2.5 hrs from Glasgow, it is definitely worth the trip! 

Well behaved dogs with responsible owners are very welcome.

In busy periods please book early to avoid disappointment. Online booking available.

There are four Caravan Holiday Homes for hire, either 4 berth or 6 berth. To avoid disappointment, please book early.  We operate a no smoking policy in all our Caravan Holiday Homes.

Directions

From Glasgow take the M8 heading towards Greenock as far as the Erskine Bridge.  Go over the bridge and follow the signs to Campbeltown – A82.  The A82 will take you along part of Loch Lomond, briefly around the top of Loch Long, and a long way down the side of Loch Fyne.   At Tarbet on Loch Lomond stay on the road to Campbeltown – it becomes the A83 at this point.  The A83 will take you all the way to Campbeltown down the Kintyre peninsula, through Lochgilphead onto Tarbert - we are 18 miles south of Tarbert - approximately 20 minutes drive from Tarbert.
