29th March 2007 - Over £1800 donated to SKSC Appeal

The Sports Council appeal has received a further funding of just over £1800.00 to its project in the last two weeks thanks to much appreciated donations.  The bowling community in Campbeltown showed their support to the project when Argyll Bowling Club donated £368.50 - the proceeds of its Prize Bingo.  Earlier in the week Campbeltown Bowling Club donated £300 to the much-needed appeal. A further £420 was donated from the White Hart Hotel Red Nose Day Appeal – half the proceeds they raised, Campbeltown Soccer Centre donated a further £500 and the White Hart Quiz ‘goers’ on Monday night donated £200 taking the total donations for March to just over £1800.00!!  A number of other member clubs have also indicated they will run events to support of the project and the Sports Council will run the post Half Marathon party in the Victoria Hall.
