
The organisers are pleased to announce that the
third Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon and 10k
event will take place on Sunday 25th May 2008
starting from the Aqualibrium, Campbeltown.
Following the success of last year’s event, when
close to 500 runners and walkers took to the
roads of the Campbeltown area, the organisers
are increasing the entry numbers again this year
and hope to attract a field of 600 competitors.

As in previous years, a number of other
activities are being planned over the long
weekend for competitors, their families and
spectators to enjoy.
A Children’s Fun Run on parkland will
also take place allowing the whole family to get
involved. There will be a 2km race for 11 – 14
year olds at 12 noon and a 1km race for 6 – 10
year olds at 12.20 pm. Places are limited so
please apply in advance with the attached main
entry form (separate form for each runner). All
children will receive a mini goodie bag and
medal.
All adult competitors will receive a medal,
t-shirt and refreshments. Free parking is
available at the Burnside Square Car Park and
street parking. Trophies and prizes will be
awarded for category winners in a prizegiving
ceremony at 1pm. A prize will also be given for
the 1st placed local runner, men and
women, in each race.

The Pre-run Pasta Party (including free
swim) will take place in the Aqualibrium on
Saturday 24th May (£8pp) and the
Post-run Ceilidh in conjunction with SKSC
will be held in the evening in the Victoria Hall
on Sunday 25th May (£10pp).
Due to expected demand, tickets for the pasta
party and ceilidh are currently restricted to
one per runner, which can be purchased using
this entry form. If you would like to go on the

On receipt of application, you will receive a
confirmation note of entry via email. For
