Firstly I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and every best wish for 2008.

On Sunday 30th December I took a final trip of the year out to Machrihanish which is located just six miles from Campbeltown on the west coast of Kintyre.  Machrihanish is a wonderful place to visit regardless of the time of year.  There are rewarding qualities visiting in the winter months just as the summer.  The village itself is a hive of activity all year round thanks mainly to the superb links golf course.  However, as always, there are people just out for a walk along the beach and more and more surfers taking to the waters.

It was nice to visit The Old Club House which recently re-opened (formerly the Beachcomber).
