With both
bars packed and twenty one teams entered the whole night was a
complete success. Aptly name "We're Last!" won the quiz
and took the honours of being the first ever Sports Council
quiz masters!
Money raised on the night, the
bonus ball and donations amounted to £621. A
spokesperson for the Sports Council said "We would like to
thank everyone who turned up at the quiz and supported our
efforts to secure a new mini bus for the town. Raising
money for local projects is also about giving back to the
community and we hope everyone enjoyed the evening!
Special thanks has to go to Helen for all her hard work and to
the three public houses (Burnside, Whisky Macs and The Davaar)
for supporting our efforts. We have a series of events
planned for early 2007 so please watch this space!"
